MY TIME WITHOUT HEARING

I wasn't sure about doing this test because of my little boy but I was determined to do it.

It felt very strange having them in, my world went from hearing everything to hearing barely anything.

I had my mum with me for the day because of Josh, in case he got frustrated with me.

I could still hear a little bit it was very faint it was like someone whispering to me.

I felt like I was shouting every time I spoke.

I could still hear my son talking and playing but not as much as I did and I missed it very much, just the sound of him playing and laughing.

Being outside was horrid, I couldn't tell if there were any cars coming all I could hear was humming, my mum had to keep pulling me in from the road and Josh kept shouting at me to get off the road.

I missed a lot of things when I had the ear plugs in all the sounds I heard everyday I couldn't hear so well. I felt like my world had fallen apart.

I could only do this for a few hours but now I know how a deaf person felt not being able to hear anything at all.
